I would like to see the Corel Painter interface updated considerably. I have used Painter since version 5 (long before Corel purchased it) and I LOVE Painter so much. I also use Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, Inkscape and a bundle of other software (including CorelDraw (since v5), all of which have updated their interfaces over the years. However, Corel Painter still looks as dull and grey as it ever did. You can't add or remove tools as you can in Photoshop or Affinity Photo. You can't do anything.
The palettes are also extremely annoying. Trying to organise them is a nightmare. I use Patterns and Nozzles a lot, creating my own brushes, nozzles, which I would like to move around easily, but moving any brush icon from one set of brushes/nozzles takes an absolute age. And I have so many that I try to organise them, but just give up because it takes so long.
I have been recreating most of my brushes/nozzles in Affinity Photo because it is a lot faster and the interface looks just like Photoshop - but I do still LOVE Painter and I will continue to use it and buy Painter upgrades. I just think it needs a major interface overhaul. A new look (like Photoshop/Affinity Photo/Inkscape).
Have you checked those software out? Look at the interface. Compare these interfaces to Corel Painter. The font is too small. Give me COLOUR. Allow me to remove/add tools to the toolbar.
But I am just glad that you haven't gone the way of Adobe and force your users to RENT their software. That will stop me buying Corel Painter in an instant. Adobe did not consider their users, only their corporate 'industry standard' users. I no longer use Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign for this reason.
