updating painter and brushes

I sent this to support and they said I must post this on this site. I have just upgraded to 2023 but I just feel so sad to see a product that I have used for over 30 years become all about making money from the basic brushes. I am just lucky I still have previous versions. I still go back to version 9 to get brushes that are not available in recent versions.

I think painter has lost the basic plot. When you're working with the product everyday on tight time constraints it is great to get new additions and better ways of doing things but then build on the existing base, don’t change existing brush catagories, just add to them. We don’t have time for this kind of revamp.

Please pass this on to your developers.

Many thanks

Agree 100 %. This same tactic I encountered with a music software company who decided, with each upgrade, to disable some of the old instruments, and give you some new. People who upgraded mainly for the new instruments added to their existing ones, lost out. The company must have lost many customers. It was explained to me that this was a new management decisions :(
