I'd like to see a color swatch that previews the color I'm about to select. I'd also like an option to see the numerical HSV / RGB value.

The panels would show which brush is selected. Also, when I add commands that can be turned on and off such as 'pause diffusion', the buttons would update their status.

Sub-groups will be maintained when saving or importing PSD files in Painter

Resizing a brush can be very slow especially with certain brushes and certain sizes. Would be great if all brushes can be resized faster.

The brush ghost should shows the exact shape of the brush dab and at what angle the dab is facing. With non-round brushes, this helps us determine where the edge of the stroke is going to be before we commence the stroke.

Add the ability to create unique brush tracking curves for size, opacity, and other important brush controls.

Would be great to see some improvements to the crop tool - Precise cropping, rotate, show grid for rule of thirds. Pull handles inward to crop or outward to grow the canvas.
