When I work on one or more documents, I'd like Painter to have some way to manage them, such as showing each one in a tab (like a web browser)

Ability to open multiple images in reference image panel, zoom in and out of reference image, preview in greyscale, ability to rotate.

Enable RYB mode so that blending two or more colors, results in more natural looking colors. It would be nice to be able to mix Yellow and Blue and get green or Blue and Red for a purple.

Would be great to see some improvements to the crop tool - Precise cropping, rotate, show grid for rule of thirds. Pull handles inward to crop or outward to grow the canvas.

The brush ghost should shows the exact shape of the brush dab and at what angle the dab is facing. With non-round brushes, this helps us determine where the edge of the stroke is going to be before we commence the stroke.

It would be useful to have the possibility to merge the canvas with all the visible layers above it, into a new layer which should appear on top of them.

Ability to flip the quickly flip the document horizontally / vertically to check for mistakes and fine tune.

I'd like to be able to reset paper settings like angle/scale/brightness and contrast in one easy step.

It would be helpful to have a shortcut key that will temporarily constrain the brush strokes to be perfectly straight when using the Brush Tool. Even though we have the Straight Line Strokes option in Painter property bar you have to click on this...

It would be great to right click and just merge the layer you're working on with the layer underneath it. This way you can add details to an image then quickly merge it to keep layer count manageable without having to group all layers or drop to t...
